Sara Barker works on the boundary between sculpture, painting and drawing. She has developed a language of paint, steel, aluminium, brass and glass and a way of making which is meditative; focusing on memory, individual perception, and a blurring of line and colour.
This book is her first major monograph. It includes an essay by curator and writer Katharine Stout, and a new piece of writing by author Ali Smith. Designed in close collaboration with the artist, it offers an insight into her visual imagination.
